What: Hands-on workshop
Where: Alliston Public Library, Meeting Room
When: Saturday April 2nd, 2011 – 2pm to
4:30pm
Are you the person who publishes your cache pages? Do you know
how to put images into your cache page? Do you know how to change
the size and colour of the text? Are you wondering what magic was
done to produce this cache page? Then this workshop is for you. The
tips and tricks will be very basic. After all, what can you learn
in a 2 hour period before your head explodes?
The workshop will start promptly at 2:30pm. The room will be
available at 2pm to give us time to setup the room and get your
laptop started and connected to the internet.
If you do not have a laptop, you can team up with someone who
has one. If you are bringing a laptop make sure automatically
updated software is current so that it does not download and update
itself during the workshop. This can be done by turning on your
laptop for a couple of hours before you leave for Alliston.
You are encouraged to try the tips and tricks as Nawty
introduces them.
Street parking in the front of the library is free but only for
2 hours.
There is parking at the back of the building and municipal parking
nearby. If you park on the street or in the municipal parking, use
the front entrance and make your way to the back right corner of
the library. If you park behind the library, the back entrance is
unmarked and shown in the picture above.
FYI There is a nominal fee for the rental of this meeting room.
