Longjian power plant is located on Longfeng Creek,
a minor stream of Papaya River, Hualien. It's the 3rd largest power
plant by water in the world, it's also the one of the most
beautiful power plant in deep mountain in Taiwan. The plant is not
open to tourest, you have to apply from Tai Power before one month
if you want to visit inside the plant, otherwise you can only visit
outside the plant.
It's a park-n-grab cache, you can reach here by car or motorcycle
even bike, province road No. #14 to plant is narrow, please
drive/ride carefully. No pen in cache. |
To apply an entrance permit in Tongmen Police
Station @ N23 57.925 E121 29.676 if you came from Hualien,
600 permits per day, 300 in forenoon, 300 in afternoon, you can
call 03-8641051 to ask the quota of permits. Don't forget to bring
your ID/Passport, that is necessary.
Once you don't have to apply the entrance permit in Tongmen Police
Station if you came from Nenggao Cross-ridge Historic Trail.
