On 2/27/11 it came to my attention that the cache formerly here (Bamber Island) was archived. Further investagation showed that we were last to find. It seems there was doubt that we found it since we were mixed in a string of did not finds. We took this as a challenge :) On 2/28/11 my husband and daughter went back to find cache as proof of our find. It took about 10 minutes to refind, remembering the misery of the first find.
Among the geocaching community it is commonly believed that it is acceptible not to log your "did not finds". But it is not ok to log a find, even though you climbed through thorns, bushes, fallen logs, and swamps, when you did not actually find the cache and sign the log book. Some caches are harder to find. Sometimes coords are off. Such as the former Bamber Lake cache. I am leaving the coords as is. GPS is shaky out there, hard to get a good read. But come on, it's an island. Cache is in same exact spot. (Bamber Island) cache is included in new cache as proof of find. Bridge is out of sorts, so terrain was raised to a 3.5. Very minor bushwhacking required.
