Route 143 has always been my family's way to drive to I-78 whenever we went on vacation. This road always reminds me of family trips, so I decided to place a few caches along the way. Enjoy the scenery along the way! It passes through the country side with some stops, such as Ontelaunee Park, the WK&S railroad, Hawk Mountain, and Leaser Lake. Be sure to check out the other caches along the way (GC2KR34, GC170V9, GCZ40N, GCWVP7, GCWVPC, GC1VKK7)
Cache is a small rubbermaid container, large enough to hold trackables and small trade items. Enjoy Leaser...um...Lake while you're here...haven't been back here in years and did realize there was no water in Leaser Lake right now while they do some work on it, but there are great places to hike and have a picnic lunch and eventually the lake will be reopened.
