While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

MaxiNano in urban envireonment. Use maximal stealth, please. The cache is visible, but also "invisible" ....
MaxiNano i bymiljø. Utvis maksimal diskresjon. Beholderen er fullt synlig, men allikevel "usynlig" ...

Løvenvold kino

Kinoen er et av byens klenodier. Veggene inne i kinosalen er dekorert med fresker (fra italiensk al fresco som betyr på fersk vegg) av islendingen Paul Arnsteinsson og viser sagaen om Villemann og Magnhild. Disse regnes som noen av de beste freskene i Norge, på linje med de i Oslo Rådhus og Bergens børs. Kinoen har i dag digital lyd og har plass til ca. 300 personer.

Løvenvold-bygningen ble tegnet av arkitekten Øyvind Grimnes og er spesialkonstruert for kinodrift helt fra starten av. Huset ble byggemeldt i 1921 og stod klart to år etter. Løvenvold kino viste sin første film 3. september 1923. Frisen ble frisket opp igjen av Ole Fagermo da Løvenvold kino ble oppgradert for noen år siden.

Løvenvold Cinema

This old cinema theatre was inagurated in 1923. It is one of the key buildings in Ålesund. The interior walls are decorated with frescos by the icelandic artist Paul Arnsteinsson and illustrates the saga " Villemann and Magnhild". These wall decorations are concidered as some of the best in Norway, comparable with the ones in Osly city hall and Bergens børs.
