Geocache Description:

(Formerly Broadway Upper High Street No. 2.)

This is a nice straightforward magnetic nano. As such there is no pen/pencil so make sure you have your own.

This is easily accessible from the footpaths and can be done either on the way to Broadway History : The Actress, The Old Fish or Drip Drap Drop, or as a cache and dash (although please note that the Upper High Street has double yellow lines and a regular patrol of traffic wardens!!!).

On the left hand side going up the hill is a row of cottages which must be amongst the most photographed and illustrated cottages in England.

Now known as Shakespeare Cottages (I have no idea if the Bard ever visited!) but also known variously as the Pink Cottages, Bankside, and at one time Flea Bank.

The latter was due to their run down condition and indeed in the 1930s they were condemned as unfit for human habitation but were fortunately restored and modernised by Bruce George during the last war.

Congratulations to thelandymob on the very speedy FTF!!!!!
