Geocache Description:

The Gritstone Trail is a long-distance walking path in Cheshire split into three stages. The first stage, 10.3 miles (17 km) in length, leads from Disley to Tegg's Nose; the second, of length 15.3 miles (25 km), from Tegg's Nose to Timbersbrook, is the best for obtaining a close look at gritstone scenery. The final stage of 9.3 miles (15 km) runs from Timbersbrook to Kidsgrove.

The cache is placed on a the Gritstone Trail near The Cloud. The views are quite nice from the top with views across the Cheshire Plain. Getting to the cache can be difficult. Parking is available on the side of the road on Tunstall Road or in the Free Car Park on Wethercock Lane followed by a climb up a set of steps from Tunstall Road to GZ. It is not possible to go up the road and get it as it is a private Bridleway. This is the fourth cache in the series. The container was won at the raffle at the Warrington Cachers Welcome you All geocaching event and was made by Team Marzipan. Many thanks for that. The cache only has room for logbook and pencil even though it's small. Many thanks to the ranger for giving permission for the cache to be placed.
