This cache was placed with permission of the National Trust Warden for Holcombe Moor. Please note that no vehicle should be driven up the tracks to the moor as these are private farm tracks. Keep dogs on leads - especially important during the lambing season.
The cache is a plastic box containing log book, pencil and swaps..
The "crossroads" below is an important junction of old trading routes and was used frequently to cross the moors between Helmshore and Edgworth, with routes leading off to the old township of Pilkington and the pilgrims route across Holcombe Moor.
