Just beyond the gate is a "Beam Station" for the local airport
in Penticton. This area is off-limits, so this gate was installed
for security.
And as good Canadians, we abide by the sign not to trespass
(even though there is no fence on either side of the gate.)
Yes, Canadians are like that!
The cache can only be hidden in a few spots, so this should be
easy. Don't overthink it!
The cache is only big enough for a logbook, so please bring your
own writing utensil.
There is parking next to the cache that is wide enough to pull
completely off the shoulder of the highway. But the entrance is
very short and can only be attempted while heading North on the
highway. Turn off just after the concrete barrier and plan to stop
quickly.
Hwy 97 can be a VERY BUSY highway in summer, so watch the
traffic behind you before attempting to pull off to this cache.
Because of the potential high volume of traffic, children and pets
should be left in the vehicle for their safety.
Please be very careful when exiting and re-entering the
highway!
Congrats to Homer & Bart for getting the
FTF!
