Geocache Description:


Die St. Michaelskirche in Grohn wurde in den Jahren 1906 bis 1908 im neuromanischen Stil vom hannoveraner Konsistorialbaumeister Karl Mohrmann erbaut. Es handelt sich um ein Sandsteingebäude auf kreuzförmigem Grundriss mit Vierungsturm und Pfarrhaus. Die Ausmalung wurde vom Maler Bohlmann (auch aus Hannover) gestaltet und ist heute noch erhalten.
Mittlerweile ist die Kirchengemeinde 100 Jahre alt und ist vor allem mit ihren Chören aktiv (http://www.chorwerkstatt-bremen.de/choere.php).
