Part of a series of Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme caches hidden along the old Nelson and Fort Shepperd Railway Trail.
Throw on your snowshoes, cross country skis, or take your chances walking along the snowmobile packed trail (you might break through), or snowmobile there yourself, for this winter accessible cache. This is part of our Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme Series. You are looking for a small camoed container after an easy one plus km winter stroll (one way), and yes, we did showshoe there and back. Terrain rating is based on winter conditions. In summer this might be a 1.5 - 2, but the difficulty would probably be higher then!
Now, the rhyme: A Tree
In Spring I look gay, Decked in comely array,
In summer more clothing I wear;
When colder it grows, I fling off my clothes, And in Winter quite naked appear.
If you can still see the Salmo Ski Hill in the distance (when coming from the posted coords, then you haven't walked far enough!
We don't care what method you use to get here, but please use the suggested parking and head down the old railgrade from the north.
