Geocache Description:

This ruined watermill is little more than a shell now and the stream that used to power it has formed a small defensive moat around it.

It is located next to a bridle path in a pleasant woodland walk near one of the few remaining relics of the long gone Ventnor West railway line.

I placed a Chirp beacon near the cache as an additional guide.

Note that the chirp merely helps to confirm the location and is not essential to finding the cache.

The elevated diffuculty level reflects the fact that the bridle path can become churned up and muddy in wet weather. Also there is the need to cross the small stream to reach the cache.

This latter task is not exactly hard but makes the cache unsuitable for wheelchair users, for example.

It was the launching point for the reborn "Tock" travel bug. (Recreated after disappearing in 2009)
