Geocache Description:

A highly camouflaged Magnetic cache placed near Woodie's cafe at the Crook of Lune Picnic site.

One of our favourite spots for an afternoon walk and a bacon butty with GeoMutt.

This cache connects our End of the Line cache with our Bull and Beckham cache

The Difficulty rating for this cache is set to 4 as this is not your everyday usual type of cache and may prove hard to spot, It may drive you nuts looking for this one, but hopefully once you have located it you will be pleased with your find :-)

The Crook O'Lune picnic site is situated at a popular beauty spot on a horse shoe bend in the River Lune to the North of Lancaster. Many pleasant walks are available alongside the wooded river banks and venturing off into the surrounding countryside. For longer walks the Lune Millennium Cycleway which also forms part of the Lancashire Cycleway follows a former railway line and connects this site to Lancaster and Bull Beck picnic site to the North.

THE LUNE MILLENNIUM CYCLEWAY The route of this footpath/cycleway starts at Glasson, through Lancaster before heading up stream on the River Lune towards Caton. The section between Lancaster and the Bull Beck Picnic Site follows the banks of the River Lune and is suitable for disabled users. It follows the route of the former Lancaster to Wennington railway and is approximately six miles in length. Car parking facilities are available at Lancaster, Ladies Walk, Denny Beck, Crook O'Lune, Bull Beck, Conder Green and Glason Dock.

Congratulations To HighBarn2 for their super speedy FTF :-)
