awoodvine: Been to check on the cache and it's gone. The telegraph pole has been replaced and there's a cable going from the pole through past where this cache was hidden, so maybe the people that replaced the pole got rid of the cache.

Geocache Description:

A cache placed along the part of Eardley End Road that is closed to traffic.

I can remember when you could drive along this road, I'm not sure exactly when it was closed but I shall guess at 1998.

The cache container is a small clip-lock box. The cache contains a logbook and pencil.
