This cache was placed when there was still several feet of snow on the ground. Parking at the Giant Ledge Parking area offers the shortest approach.
This cache was placed on a late winter hike with Brian B. Our goal was to bag our forth and final winter peak of the Catskill 3500s'. Rain, snow and ice were with us the entire time. All the same, we had a blast. Can't wait to return with clear skies.
Start at the Giant Ledge Parking area on Cr 47 and follow the yellow trail until it intersects with the blue and head towards the Giant Ledges and on to Panther Mountain. A sign will let you know you are close to the cache.
