South Ga. Geocachers are so spread out that we rarely get to see
each other. We also have several new cachers in the area. So, this
is an opportunity for us to catch up with other cachers and a
chance for newbies to meet with veteran cachers for some ideas and
tips.
This is a beautiful facility with grills, picnic tables, a
playground, and more. There is also a beautiful view overlooking
the ocean. Bring your frisbees, footballs, or other outdoor games.
There will be activities for all ages and St. Simons Island has
several geocaches (including 3 that are within walking distance of
the event location) for discovery before, during, and after the
event.
Tentative Schedule:
10:30am - Arrive and socialize
11:00am - Group caching to Lighthouse Keeper's Lament
(GCHAGX)
12:00pm - Lunch, socializing, games, and door prizes
12:45pm - Stock ammo can for South Ga. Geocachers Spring 2011 Event
geocache
1:00pm - Place new cache & Let's Go Geocaching!
Additional Details:
Hamburgers & Hotdogs will be provided.
Please bring drink and a side item (baked beans, coleslaw, chips,
dessert, etc.).
Open Wi-Fi is available at the park.
Optional:
Bring swag for South Ga. Geocachers Spring 2011 Event
geocache.
If you have trackables you would like to be discovered and/or
traded, bring them too.
