Hillsboro Village Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Molecular Hoopala: Alas, I am saddened to finally take down this cache. Now that my sister and I have both graduated college (myself a couple years ago, my sister last week), I will no longer be regularly traveling to Nashville to maintain the cache. Furthermore, the area is changing too rapidly to keep up with it all to make sure the cache and its stages are in good order. Thank you to everyone who hunted for this cache, and I hope someone can use the territory for new and exciting caches!

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, but you will find available parking there. It's free for the first hour and a half if you park at here, but don't forget to get a ticket from the machine! (forgot to post this at first), so feel free to hunt down free/cheaper parking elsewhere nearby, but it may be harder to find.

This cache is an offset multi-cache that will take you on a short tour of one of my favorite areas to explore near Vandy. All of the answers can be found on the outside of the buildings. There is no need to go in anywhere, but feel free to explore the area before/after/during the hunt. Please use your geosense on this one.There is a very simple way to grab this one discretely.

First, I felt like I should make up for the nasty puzzle cache I hid last month, so I decided to make a friendlier cache. Also, I have noticed a serious shortage of multi-caches in this area, so I decided to make one. The area is very kid friendly, and all the clues and the final can be found relatively quickly. The final is (correction: used to be...) a nifty container I made myself that I hope will deter the muggles ;) (this will be replaced at some point, for now, it's a regular nano) BYOP (still applies).

Here’s the clues to get the final coordinates. UPDATE: The old Stage A has been demolished. There is just a hole in the ground there now. So, I made a new Stage A, now listed below.

Final is at N 36 08.ABC W 86 48.DEF

A) denomination of this church = A
7=Episcopal 5=Catholic 2=Baptist 4=Presbyterian 9=non-denominational 1=United Methodist
B) # of E’s that are on this store’s awning minus 2 = B
C) # of yellow brick diamonds (big and little) above the awning = C

D) animal on the wall = D
1=dog 6=tiger 4=shark 0=dragon 5=wolf 8=lion
E) # of times the word “Book” can be seen above the store front (higher than door-level, and INCLUDES THE AWNING; start with the awning and look up; you may have to move back and forth from GZ a few feet in order to see the WHOLE store front) minus 1 = E
F) # of varieties minus 20 = F

If you want to check the final coords before you search for it, you can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

Also, I placed this on my birthday :)
This is my second hide, so enjoy!! (and Go ‘Dores!)
