This cache was placed as part of the 2011
NS Winter Geocache Challenge to get you out of the house during
the chilly days of winter, have some fun, and increase the number
of Winter Friendly Geocaches and beat those Winter Geocaching
BLUES!!!!
Growing up playing on this mountain road created lots of
memories for me: learning how to drive Mom's big ole' Ford
Econoline van on freshly graded gravel and hitting those sharp
turns...I thought it was fun...she didn't!!!(lol)
Learning how to fish for brook trout and catching some.
Biking down to the beach...then realizing we had to
bike(walk) back up.
Being to lazy to bike to the beach, and opted for swimming in the
cold brook pools(brrrrrrrrrr it was cold but refreashing).
So today I took some time to play on the mountain road and
I had a blast and I hope you do too, post any cool stories and
pictures!!!
You are looking for a camo'd container just a bit bigger than a
film canister, it shouldn't be too hard to find, you will need to
bring a writing stick. When the leaves come out on the trees, it
may create some havoc with your GPS.
I provided the coordinates where I entered the forest, so you wont
have to cross the stream(in the summer the brook crossing may be
refreashing!)
As this is an wilderness area don't take it for granted,
there is wildlife present and it's their home. It's always safer if
you bring a buddy and and good walking stick.
