Cache placed on the back of a signpost indicating the turnoff to the Sohar Port Free Zone. Hence the cache name "Sohar Freebies"
The cache is a small magnetic metal container with very limited space. There is a roll-up logbook inside with the normal cache notices, FTF certificate, etc.
Please bring your own pen.
To get to the cache location take the turnoff from the highway at the Mina Roundabout (Sohar Port Roundabout) inland towards the Sohar Industrial area. The roundabout and signpost is approximately 4km from the Sohar Port roundabout.
I thought this is a place special as I have been travelling down this road for nearly five years towards my place of employment and this road was not always a dual lane road as it is now....it used to be a simple two lane road (1 up, 1 down) used by all employees in the area along with all the construction vehicles.
After finding the cache (I hope...) getting back to the highway is simply going around the roundabout at the cache location and returning to the highway or take the turnoff at the new roundabout towards the Sohar port and find your way back.
Please pull your vehicle as far off the road as you possibly can to avoid any incidents and to keep a clear distance between you and the other vehicles using the road.
