Well this is our first event cache but with a twist! why? well.. why not?
So its time for a mini flash-mob event! but with a twist. so at 9 am look for the green Mazda with the tb on the back. Why look for the green Mazda? Here’s the twist... we will be having a competition of sorts.. since it is national name yourself day! The competition? Well here it is! To participate in the competition, bring along a Lego character (like the picture provided) and tape your name to it. There will be different containers inside the backseat of the car and a small crack in the window to throw them through. If you get them into the correct container you win a prize! We will be giving out 5 decon containers, 5 bison tubes, 1 ammo can 2 already carved stamps (for you to place as caches) and 4 letterbox stamp coupons. So to win the prizes, place a square of tape to your character and toss it in! that will be your log entry and we will also collect them for the log sheet. We will also give out letterbox coupon prizes (2 each) for the following categories:
1) most unique character
2) look-alike
The competition will be open for 20 minutes so be ready! A maximum of 4 attempts per group as well (1 throw for each character, additional tries mean additional characters). Be creative! customize your character in any way that you have to! Also email us some more ideas if you have any!! Now find a unique character and “name yourself!”
We will all judge the characters beforehand, each person will get a voting sheet to cast your vote and we will tally them up while you throw in the characters! The characters will be left in the cups throughout the whole competition so other people have a chance to knock out your character and to add in the fun! We will be trying to keep it to around 20 minutes total so at 9 am exactly (Verizon wireless time) we will start. There will be a bin for trading trackables if you would like as well. Take lots of photos and we hope to see you there! If you do not wish to participate, just come out and help judge and meet with some old friends and meet some new ones!
