Geocache Description:

Pirate Pete

Avast there landlubbers. Aargh. So - yew wanna find me tresure do yer? Blasted landlubber scurvy slum dog. Well if yer not blind, the bleedin co-ordinates listed above will help yer first find me treasure map witch yer gonna need. Look for a small 200ml sistema container.

Need a clew do yer? Howsabowt this. Ellen Close Exit (a goodly wench I'm sure, but she shore has a strange name) is apparently 1.2km away, but me map is a lot closer to Ellen than that. Har har har - bet yew can't figure out what that meanz, you pot bellied, light fingered, rat faced maingie dog.

But if'n yew do find me map by sum flook, it'll helpya find where me tresure chest is hidden in the jungle. The map cannot show everything utherwise muggles findin the map by chance could raid the tresure. Soooo - Take this info with you to complete the map. The tresure is 30 paces past B.R.B.P. (and remains of old G.T.) and about 10 paces before R.O.D..

Yew can use me tresure chest (camo'd 3litre Sistema) to swop lovely pirate stash and stuff. Even farely big items. So don't come empty handed - bring lots of gold doubloons, or pieces of eight, or other pirate things for me and me parret ... har har har.

And hey!! - Yew scurvy dogs hav gotta be sworn to secrecy like all proper pirates, so spit inter your hand and swear - no givin away anything to other maingie mutts with spoiler fotos, or spoiler log comments, or any other loose talk, or bein seen by muggles. Or I'll come around to yore place and makeya walk the bleedin plank, yer moth eaten river rats. Har har har.

Use the map to find the treasure chest. The co-ordinates you will find on the map for the chest may be quite inaccurate due to tree cover blocking my GPS, and your GPS will probably struggle to work under the tree cover too. So having found the map, stow your GPS away and rely on the traditional pirate map in the traditional way like a proper pirate. And please don't take the map with you on your search. Memorise it like a good treasure chaser and stow it back in the cache before you go chasing the chest.

Kids are especially welcome (you figured that?) but adult supervision is a must on the trail. It can get wet and slippery, in fact its never dry I think. Trail distance for our purposes is under 200m, and there is no real hard climbing.
