A cache near Lake Ratapiko
We used come here for summer holidays and I remember the water-skiing when it was a big fad.
Cache is thin and wrapped in a watertight outer layer, plus a sealable plastic bag for the cache-log.
Be careful with parking near the GZ--be sensible. A very quick drive by.
Heading towards Stratford after the cache you will encounter the Ahuroa 2B, Piakau 2, and Maco 1 Oil and Gas drilling sites. This back country is stunningly beautiful but care is needed on these narrow roads. Good luck!
