Geocache Description:

This cache is placed on this park that the City of Manassas completed in 2010. The park is situated right by the airport, the train tracks & Prince William Parkway... Hence the name.

This cache was 1 in a series of 2 caches placed in this park. Unfortunately, the other Planes, Trains and Automobiles cache was located on the opposite side of the park directly under the tree that 2 bald eagles decided to build a nest in, making it pretty much illegal to be geocaching on that side of the park. Eagles are nature's party poopers.

*shakes fist at the national symbol of freedom as it flies overhead*

It's a small park with a short walking path leading to the center, then a small circular path with a few benches and trashcans. There is also a mountain bike path weaving through the park. The cache is not along any paths. On any old-timey map of Manassas, this wooded area would be labeled as "HERE BE THORNS" (AND TICKS, a helpfull geocacher has told me)... because there are a bunch of them.

Public parking lot is at 38°44'12.31"N 77°31'1.82"W, right behind the only building on the road. Entrance is shared with the building, so do not be afraid of trespassing.

Much thanks to the City Of Manassas Neighborhood Services for approving this geocache.

You have to cross a river/stream to get to this cache. You CAN NOT park on the parkway and approach from that road (illegal?). Nor can you cross the train track bridge (illegal - no "?" needed). Walking around the reservoir is also inadvisable, as it is not part of the park and would be trespassing. You can wade across the stream or cross on the construction bridge, if it is still there when you arrive. Otherwise, you can hop across the rocks over the stream, if the water is not too high.

The cache is a small Rubbermaid container with a locking lid. I very poorly spray-painted a camoflage pattern on it, but most of that has worn off. Please place cache back exactly as you find it.
