Geocache Description:

Join us, let's surprise the citizens of Tampere on a Sunday early afternoon (2pm)! Let's make them wonder what the heck is going on?! Let's make them feel something doesn't seem quite right... The biggest geocaching Flashmob ever in Finland will be organized after the Mega-Event. It might well be that this is the biggest geocaching-themed Flashmob in the world. Could it also be a future hit in YouTube? Who knows?

Everybody is welcome to attend the Megamob event regardless of whether one attends/registers to the MEGA Finland 2011 event itself or not.

Location: Central Square / Keskustori.

Cachers will be divided into 4 groups by nicks (A-G, H-N, O-U, V-Ö & 1-9 & special chars). Each group will get a set of coordinates. Equipment: normal caching equipment i.e. GPS, flashlight, cache description, Mega Event clothing, etc.

14.00 Cachers arrive to their given point and pretend to search for a cache. Staring into the GPS & following the GPS arrow, pointing to various directions, looking into different places, scratching your head, talking to other cachers etc....
14.05 When you hear a whistle, freeze to the searching position for 2 minutes. No speaking, no moving.
14.07 When you hear a whistle, yell: Nysse löyty! and start to cheer for 30 secs. Then suddenly caching stuff away, and walk away like a normal person like nothing odd happened.
NB! Due to the flash mob style, no signing of the log book will be done. Also the trading of travel bugs and coins is impossible.

Tule mukaan! Yllätetään pahaa-aavistamattomat manselaiset! Laitetaan heidät ihmettelemään, mitä helkkaria heidän ympärillään tapahtuu... Suomen (ja kenties myös maailman?) suurin geokätköilyaiheinen Flashmob järjestetään Megaeventin jälkeen sunnuntaina alkuiltapäivästä alkaen klo 14:00. Kuinka suuri Youtube-hitti tapahtuman videosta tulee, jää nähtäväksi.

Kaikki ovat tervetulleita Megamobiin riippumatta siitä, osallistuuko/rekisteröityykö itse MEGA Finland 2011 -tapahtumaan!

Kätköilijät jaetaan neljään ryhmään nimimerkin perusteella (A-G, H-N, O-U, V-Ö & 1-9 & erikoismerkit). Jokaisella ryhmällä on tietty koordinaattipiste. Varustus: tavallinen kätköilyvarustus eli GPS, taskulamppu, kätkökuvaus, Mega Event -vaatetus, jne.

14.00 Kätköilijät saapuvat annettuun pisteeseen ja esittävät etsivänsä kätköä. Tuijotetaan GPS:ään, seurataan gepsin nuolta, osoitellaan eri suuntiin, etsitään eri paikoista, raavitaan päätä, jutellaan missä kätkö voisi olla jne...
14.05 Kun kuuluu pillinpuhallus, jäädytään paikoilleen kahdeksi minuutiksi. Ei puhetta, ei liikettä.
14.07 Kun kuuluu pillinpuhallus, huudetaan: Nysse löyty! ja hurrataan 30 sekuntia. Sitten kaikki kätköilytarvikkeet pois ja poistutaan paikalta ihan kuin mitään ei olisi tapahtunut.
Flashmob -tapahtuman luonteesta johtuen emme kirjoita nimiä logikirjaan. Travelbugien ja geocoinien vaihtokaan ei onnistu.

Flashmob tai Flash mob on tapahtuma, jossa joukko ihmisiä kerääntyy julkiselle paikalle ja tekee ennaltasovittuna ajankohtana jotain odottamatonta. Tapahtumat suunnitellaan yleensä internetin välityksellä, jossa kerätään osanottajia ja sovitaan aika, paikka ja tehtävä asia. Suomeksi termistä flash mob on käytetty nimeä äkkiryhmä.
