Cache is situated on the mountain Snijeznica 1104m of elevation. Here on this top there is a church St.Ilija (Eliah) from the 15th century. The position is: N 42°29.718 E 018°36.164 The church was rebuilt last year. In the previous period, very often it was exposed to devastating lightning strikes.
From this spot there is beautiful view of the Bay of Kotor. Don’t miss the moment.
From this spot, down to the south in the base, you can also see villages: Bunovici on the right and Gornji Morinj on the left side.
In case of bad weather, you can look for the shelter in a small cave which is nearby on the position: N 42°29.760 E 018°36.054
In the period from spring to autumn the encounter with poisonous snakes is possible. Therefore, be careful while touching the stones. The appropriate clothing is necessary.
Cache is hidden in the vicinity of the church.
How to reach the destination? If you take your own car, the road starts from a small place, Meljine, near Herceg Novi. There is a roundabout where you turn to the road Herceg Novi-Trebinje from the Adriatic highway, the position is: N 42°27.323 E 018°33.496 which further takes you to your destination. After approximately 6,9 km of drive, you come to the Village of Kameno, the position: N 42°28.841 E 018°31.748 then you turn right, keeping on your drive towards the village of Ubli. The ride lasts until the position: N 42°29.738 E 018°35.731 where you can park your car.
Just there on the left side there is a stone well from the Austro-Hungarian time. The water is not potable.
In the close vicinity there is WP1: N 42°29.744 E 018°35.737 From this position your pedestrian’s adventure begins, by the old gravel path till the position WP2: N 42°29.844 E 018°36.049 where you find a sign to turn right. You keep on walking up, which is not going to last long. On that part of your trip, for the orientation you can follow the marked stones with blue arrows.
