An evil micro cache in "downtown" Wolf Creek, MT.
This cache was placed on the first day of 2011 that topped 50 degrees. If you're going to look for this one, it would help if you paid close attention to the following story about me and the boys on our first fishing trip of the year.
"The weather was so good, I joined a group of my old fishing buddies - Big Red, Hubba Bubba, Zooka Joe and his dog Orbit - and we headed up country to the Missouri River to try out our new 2011 fishing licenses. We had thought about heading south of Helena to Trident to fish but Red's girlfriend - Chiclet - had heard there was still ice on the banks down there. We didn't feel like being ice breakers so the 5 of us headed north. Along the way I picked up a couple caches in the Prickly Pear creek area and when we got to Wolf Creek we decided to grab some lunch before hitting the river.
Lunch options in Wolf Creek are somewhat limited but we knew an Oasis that we could stop at and be extra happy that we did. I made these guys button their shirts, check all zippers, take off their hats and empty their mouths before we walked in to be served. Lunch was topps, (it didn't cost a wad either) and we soon hit our stride with the flyrods and had a respectable day of fishing for March in Montana."
Oh yeah, the cache! Hidden in plain sight, it might take awhile to locate. My buddies inspired the container. While I've never seen this hide before in MT, I've heard about it being used elsewhere. The container itself holds only a tiny log. Please bring your own writing stick and enter only initials - no dates necessary to preserve space.
The cache is located on private property that is owned by good friends of mine. They will watch the cache and have been alerted to the possibility that strange people may be roaming around pretending to talk into GPS style cell phones as a result of this hide. They know where and what the cache is and have been sworn to secrecy about the hide. They are looking forward to your potential discomfort! They think you are crazy!!
Please use stealth if it is real busy at the hide location. Good luck!
