Geocache Description:

A cache to commemorate the beginning of a new school year with a new class.

Following a quick lesson on the basic idea behind GPS, my students added some items to a small cache. I've since hidden it for my students and anyone else to find. Cache contains a log with some messages from my students, and a pen so that you can add your own. There's a few swaps too - my students invite you to take any items that interest you and they look forward to seeing what gets placed in the cache in return.

A quick word on the locked gate that has been mentioned a few times in log entries for this cache: this whole area is completely accessible from the Kaleen suburbs, without having to cross fences or climb locked gates. It would seem that the gate is for service vehicles requiring access to the radio towers in the area. In this case, the gate would be locked to prevent other people driving into the area to partake in some 4-wheeled antics in the big, open, grassy space. Hope that relieves any trespasser's anxiety you may feel when confronted with a locked gate.

Thanks for taking an interest in our cache and for taking part in what will be a memorable experience for our class.
