  Depuis la fin du XIXe siècle, Notre-Dame de Grainfollet est invoquée par les marins de la commune de Saint-Suliac en tant que protectrice des terre-neuvas. Tous les ans avait lieu une procession de terre-neuvas allant de la grève de Saint-Suliac à Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets en vue de remercier la Vierge de Grainfollet de les avoir épargnés. L'oratoire a été réalisé en 1894 avec des pierres de quartz blanc provenant du Mont-Garrot, et inauguré le 25 février 1894, à la suite d'un voeu fait par des pêcheurs avant de s'embarquer pour Terre-Neuve. S'ils revenaient tous vivants de la campagne de pêche, ils construiraient un sanctuaire en l'honneur de la Vierge. Le pardon a lieu la nuit du 15 août pendant laquelle les Suliaçais y déposent des cierges

 

  Since the late nineteenth century, Our Lady of Grainfollet is invoked by sailors from the town of Saint-Suliac as protector of Newfoundlanders fishermen. Every year a procession was held to Newfoundlanders fishermen from the strand in St. Suliac in Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets to thank the Virgin for having saved Grainfollet. The chapel was completed in 1894 with white quartz stones from Mount Barrow and launched 25 February 1894, following a vow made ??by fishermen before sailing for Newfoundland. If they all came back alive from the fishing, they would build a shrine in honor of the Virgin. Forgiveness takes place the night of August 15 during which they lay Suliac candles.
