Geocache Description:


Many of us have driven by here time and time again. Have you ever stopped to see what was here? Did you come to see Smokey the Bear? Maybe you stopped to get buy your Forest Permit to cut your Christmas tree? Maybe you got your NW PASS permit so you could park at Snoqualmie Pass and find the Famous APE cache?
This cache is designed to make you stop and think for a minute...This 600+ yr old tree finally gave into a windstorm to become an educational piece. So why not stop and give it a gander! This cache is placed so as to not disturb the surroundings.
I have been told that it is okay to place this cache as long as it does not become a problem. Due to the fact that the Washington State Forestry Service doesn't promote Geocaching they have informed me that this is GSA property so it not forbidden on here property. They gave me the okay to place this cache as long as it doesn't disrupt the area. It is an easy grab and not meant to be hidden as a typical cache. Yes it is visible..but it is tucked away so as not to be TOO OBVIOUS.

PLEASE PARK TOWARDS THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING!!
