Geocache Description:

Cache is located on a back road not to far from Rt. 29 and I use it when traffic is backed up!!!!!! This is a micro container located under a one-lane bridge over the North Fork-Rivanna River. Parking is available at the way point attached to this cache description.

PLEASE be careful when retrieving cache......as very close to the water as cache name suggests!!!! LOG ONLY..BRING PEN!

This structure that the cache is located very near is a river gauge used by the USGS for up-to-the minute status of river height and flow. Check current conditions at the following link:

DO NOT ATTEMPT DURING HIGH WATER CONDITIONS!!!!
I placed when river was at approx. 5 ft level.....and my feet stayed dry.....but anything over that - one may end up with wet feet and it is NOT advisable to attempt this cache during these rare times!!!!!
