I enjoyed hunting down a couple of richlink's "Last Known Address" series of caches, and having spotted a large number of cemeteries in my travels I asked richlink if I could add to the "Last Known Address" series of caches. I received a reply in the affirmative on 5 May 2009, but I couldn't find my Round Tuit, so it took me a while to place any. (See my GC1RB3G WanAus 95 - Round Tuit if you don't know what that means.)
I was meandering through the countryside on the way home from GC2KA92 WA Caching 10th Birthday Bash - Albany 2011 by tangowithcupcake and came across the Mount Barker Cemetery. I was surprised to find it didn't have a cache, so I decided to rectify that situation.
The cache is not at the above co-ords but it is where you will find some of the information to locate GZ.
At the posted coords you are looking for the headstone of Sapper F.W. Harris. A = the second DIGIT of his Regimental Number.
Waypoint 2 is at S34°38.627' E117°40.247' where you will find the headstone of Sergeant G.L. Goddard. B = the fourth DIGIT of his Regimental Number.
Waypoint 3 is at S34°38.677' E117°40.276' where you will find the headstone of Gunner W.W. Callaghan. C = the second DIGIT of his Regimental Number.
Waypoint 4 is at S34°38.621' E117°40.258' where you will find the headstone of Lieutenant Albert C. Townsend. D = the first DIGIT of his Regimental Number.
Waypoint 5 is at S34°38.618' E117°40.262' where you will find the headstone of Private L.M. Wooding. E = the third DIGIT of his Regimental Number.
Waypoint 6 is at S34°38.644' E117°40.266' where you will find the headstone of Private John Hart Duncan. F = the first DIGIT of his Regimental Number.
The cache can be found at S34°38.ABC' E117°40.DEF'. I recommend you make your way east towards the railway line then turn north to approach the cache. This will avoid the worst bush-bashing.
I've tried to keep to the simple style of Richlink's caches, so they are all micro containers, although some are bigger than others.
This cache is a drab camo'd 12 cm dia x 11 cm high round screw top with a selection of swaps, log book, Finders Cards, a pen, 3 pencils and a pencil sharpener.
