Geocache Description:

This area used to be called Tolly Town. Cache is hid in the 'old road'.

The Broad River Tour The Upper Broad River watershed is 94 square miles large and covers parts of four counties: Buncombe, Henderson, McDowell, and Rutherford. This watershed is one of six watersheds that make up the Broad River Basin that totals 1,506 square miles. The Upper Broad River watershed consists of mountainous terrain with deep valleys with 83 percent of the landmass having slopes greater that 16 percent. The lowest point in the watershed is Lake Lure that receives water flow from main stem streams such as the Rocky Broad River, Pool Creek, Cane Creek, and Buffalo Creek, but feeding these streams are many, many tributaries that eventually connect to the main stem streams...
