Thanks to Blue Canary for the initial research on this Grant’s March series.

On May 11, 1863, while marching from Utica to Raymond, General McPherson’s troops passed by the Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Lebanon. The nearby cemetery was established in 1836, and the church, which has been designated a National Historic Landmark, was built in 1854. It is on the banks of the historic Utica-Raymond Road and is part of the Civil War Vicksburg Campaign Trail.
