Geocache Description:

Gorilla Grodd. Evil simian genius. "The Grodd of War".

Gorilla Grodd was once average gorilla, until a falling alien spaceship landed and gave the entire troupe of gorillas hyper-intelligence and telepathic power, which include the power to control the minds of others. The alien had the gorillas build Gorilla City, a futuristic city in the middle of the African forest (hidden from discovery by the same alien technology). Grodd turned evil and decided to use his abilities to take over Gorilla City. When that failed, he turned to trying to dominate the "feeble human population".

Welcome to Van Cortlandt Park! A beautiful park located in the heart of the Bronx. This park covers over a thousand acres, has ballfields, trails, dense woodlands, open fields, cricket fields, a golf course... you name it, this park probably has it!

Nearby you can see the famous Woodlawn Cemetery, the resting place of many notable people. Stop in, pick up a pamphlet and take a cruise through. You will be amazed at the beauty hidden there.


The cache is a large-ish camo'ed jar. Please beware of muggles as you will be in view. Please make sure cache is hidden from view when you are done. Parking available very close to cache.
