Ich recycle immer wieder gerne Sachen, die ich aus Caches
mitnehme. Wenn das Ding einen Schlüsselring hat oder wenigstens ein
Loch, wo man ein Ketteli durchfädeln kann, mache ich daraus einen
TB. So geschehen bei "Der Oepfner" und "Draeckigs Biendli".
Ein anderer Fall ist dieses Dösli. Eines Tages machte ich
zusammen mit dem wutzelchen eine Kontrolle bei unserem Cache
"Welches
Pokémon?". Dem wutzelchen fiel sofort eine kleine silbrige Dose
im Cache auf. Ein Aufkleber besagte, dass drinnen wohl mal
Pfefferminzpastillen gewesen waren. Aha, dachte ich, da hat ein
wohlmeinender Cacher wohl die Pfefferminzpastillen entfernt, weil
ja keine Esswaren in Caches gehören, die schöne Dose aber
dringelassen. Das wutzelchen wollte sie unbedingt mitnehmen
(wahrscheinlich weil es das Geräusch beim Öffnen und Schliessen so
schick fand) - also liess ich es sie haben. Ich hatte aber
insgeheim schon andere Pläne für das Dösli, wusste nur noch nicht,
ob und wie ich sie genau umsetzen sollte.
Es sollte noch eine Weile dauern, dann hatte ich mir einen Satz
Magnete bestellt. Als sie ankamen, war ich doch ein wenig
enttäuscht, wie winzig sie waren. Aber da kam mir das kleine Dösli,
an dem das wutzelchen schon lange das Interesse verloren hatte,
wieder in den Sinn. Ich bestückte es mit ein paar kleinen Magneten
und babbte es oben an den Rahmen von unserer Küchentür, wo es noch
ein paar weitere Wochen zubrachte, bevor ich daran ging, es für
einen Einsatz als Cache vorzubereiten.
Da das Dösli wohl eher nicht wasserdicht ist, kam nur eine
geschützte Stelle in Frage. Also ein Wartehäuschen bei einer
Bushaltestelle, dachte ich mir. Oh, solche Caches gibt es schon so
viele. Naja, dann macht einer mehr oder weniger auch nichts
aus.
Man setze sich einfach hin und greife mit links zu.
I always like to recycle things I take from caches. If the thing
has a keyring or at least a hole to pull the chain through, I use
it as a travel bug. Like I did with "Der Oepfner" and "Draeckigs

This little box is a different case. One fine day, I went with
wutzelchen to do maintenance on our cache "Welches Pokémon?"
wutzelchen immediately noticed a little silvery box inside the
cache. A sticker on it said that there should have been mint drops
inside. Oh, I thought, so a well-meaning soul has taken the mint
drops out, as foodstuffs should not be placed in caches, but left
the nice box in the cache. wutzelchen insisted on taking it with
us, probably because it liked the sound of the opening mechanism,
so I let her have it. In secret, I already had other plans for the
box, but was still uncertain as to if and how they should come to
fruition.
After a while, I ordered a set of magnets. When they arrived, I
was a bit disappointed how small they were. The little box popped
back up in my mind. I applied a few small magnets on it and stuck
it on the doorframe in our kitchen, where it spent a few weeks
before I started preparing it for its mission as a cache.
Because the box didn't really look waterproof, I could only
choose a protected spot. A bus shelter, I thought. Oh, there's
already so many caches like that. Well, then one more or less won't
make a difference.
Simply take a seat and use your left arm.
