Walpole St. Andrew permissive access Orchard.
The cache is a small plastic container similar to a 35mm film can.
Hidden above eye level - but easily reached.
Just a log sheet, please bring your own pen or pencil.
This is the 3rd in the Walpole Dog Walk series of Geocaches and is placed in an easily reached hiding place. The area is a permissive access orchard which kept to maintain ancient varieties of apples. Some of the trees are over 100 years old.
The orchard is home to a wide range of wildlife and includes special provision for a weasel breeding programme (yes, really!!). General public access is granted as shown on the notice at the entrance, but please keep your dog on its lead within the area.
Access can be a little muddy after heavy rain but the footpaths leading to it are bridlepaths and therefore always passable.
The cache site is just off the main footpath.
