Geocache Description:

Winfield City Lake requires a $4.00 dollar recreation permit to visit the grounds. You can obtain permits at the Lake Office, now located at the Marina. Please take a moment to visit the website and read the rules and regulations. The park rangers are very nice and aware of the Geocaches at the lake. Please display your permit at all times.

Special thanks to QuickSilver1 for helping coordinate with the Park Rangers and keeping up the good public relations.

Down in the Gulley

This cache is located on the west side of Timber Creek Lake,  also known as "Winfield Lake", just north of the spillway and can be accessed from 82nd Road and County Road 158. The flow of water has carved and eroded away this area creating a neat terrace effect. There is a nice farm and pond to the west, and if you walk south a little up the hill, you can see a great view of it. You are looking for a Decon container, my first, hidden at the very bottom of the gulley. Enjoy.
