Cache placed just off of the Grove Creek trail above Pleasant Grove.
Two years ago on Mother's Day, we headed up this canyon with our girls. Not too far up the trail, we could see a couple with their dog heading down the trail above us, and the man was carrying something on his shoulders. As they got closer, we could see he was carrying a fairly large dog on his shoulders, and it was obvious it was dead. The woman was crying, and the dog on the leash was barking his head off. Turned out, the dog had been bitten by a rattlesnake quite a ways up the trail and didn't make it. The couple told us there were a lot of snakes on the trail in the warm sun, and were acting very aggressively this time of year. We didn't go any further up the trail. I placed this cache on our first hike back up this canyon. The views are spectacular, just keep your eyes open and watch your dogs. Original contents are plastic snakes, and U of U stickers.
