Geocache Description:

We live in an amazing Universe!

I have always enjoyed astronomy. Here are some of my favorite objects:

This is an open cluster in the constellation known as the Northern Cross.

This is another, fainter open cluster in Sagitarius.

This is another Open Cluster common called the Pleiades in the constellation "The Bull".

The Lagoon Nebula is in Sagittarius and is one of my favorite objects in a small telescope.

This Supernova Remnant known as the "Crab Nebula." It is in the Bull constellation.

This is a dim "Globular Cluster" in Ophiuchus. It takes a big telescope to see the details here.

This is a wild globular cluster in the Scorpion Constellation.

This globular cluster is in the constellation Serpens. If you lived on a planet orbiting a star in the center of this you would never have a night!

This is an "elliptical Galaxy in Virgo. It is actually almost perfectly spherical.

This is an open cluster in Scorpius. You all have seen this one with your naked eye whenever you have looked at the "Milky Way." This is at the part of the Milky Way near the Southern Horizon where it is brightest. The reason for that is that it is the center of our galaxy.
