Geocache Description:

All Saints Church sits prominently on Langport hill and provides panoramic views of Muchelney Abbey and the levels. After finding the information required, a short walk from the church will bring you onto the Levels below and to the Hidden cache.

The Church originates from the 12th Century, but was rebuilt in the late 15th Century, The octagonal tower which is in three stages dates from around 1455, but the top section was rebuilt in 1833. Adorning the outside of the Church are a number of grotesque gargoyles, which are known locally as the "Hunky Punks".

The Church is no longer in use for services, and is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, Access is available at any reasonable time, for those who wish to view the inside of the Church, and details of the nearby keyholder can be found on the notice board.

Please note that the cache is not inside the churchyard, and the above co ordinates will provide you with the opportunity to take a seat and enjoy the views, before finding the information required to locate the cache.
