How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The best of Morecambe Bay coastline where on a warm sunny day you can imagine that you are on the Mediterranean. The cache forms a coastal trio with What We Did On Our Holidays and Expletive Delighted ,all of which have been placed with the more adventurous cacher in mind. It's only accessible along the shore and gets cut off for a short period either side of high water.SO PLEASE CHECK THE TIDE TABLES.

The camo bag containing the log tube and weigh stone are in a hidden slot discreetly covered by another flattish stone so that it blends in with it's surroundings and prevents it from getting washed away by high seas. NO LAZY REHIDES .Please don't create a telltale rockpile or just throw the cache and a few random stones back in the general direction of the hiding slot (it's been done before!) .
And please, no extra hints or spoilers in the logs.

You should be able to scramble along the rock platform from Cove Lane shortly after high water and avoid the mud which is reaccumulating below the cliffs. Just to the south of the cache site there's the interesting cave mentioned in R.Brian Evans excellent guide "Walks in the Silverdale/Arnside AOB" ( Walk 2 - North along the shore from Silverdale). Please note the cliff/falling rocks attribute and take care.Although the upper cliffs appear friable and there are signs of loose rock above the cache site itself you will only need to access the lower more solid areas in your search.

Enjoy.
