Geocache Description:

Parking available. Washroom and garbage facilities available. The cache is a small camouflaged lock and lock container.

Talbot Lake is 5 km (3.1miles) long. The water is shallow and clear making it an ideal location for pike fishing. Talbot Lake is also a good location for bird watching. In the spring and fall Waterfowl make this one of their stopovers. Across the lake Ospreys make their nests in the Spruce snags. Bald eagles can be seen overhead. Looking across the lake you will see the remnants of a wildfire. One benefit of fire is the control effect on pine beetles. For more information read the plaques located in the parking lot. In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache.
