Krung Kasem Canal Walk List
A lovely temple that is looked after by the army
Commissioned by King Rama IV as a memorial to Queen Sommanat Watthanawadi. If you have time it is worthy of a walk around. Well maintained and clean. It is also a great place to see real Thai life in that few to no foreigners wonder this area. Great food venders to be found around here.
The temple is a Second Class Royal Monastery built in 1853. The temple is also adjacent to the Rajadamnoen boxing stadium and is also looked after by the army and the same commander.
There are many royally sponsored funeral rites here for the commanders and generals of the Thai army.
