....La Ciudad de las Cuevas ...





Preparé esta caché a un miembro de amigos del sofá surf se ofrece como una cama, mientras que en nuestro camino.

En 2007 visite Guadix y nos gustó tanto que volvimos en 2010.a
Guadix es una ciudad en una meseta fértil en la nororiental provincia de Granada (España),
915 m de altura, a orillas del Río Grande.
El lugar es especialmente famoso por su barrio de cuevas: Durante los tiempos, cerca de 2000 cuevas fueron excavadas en la toba suave y I don't know what this word means("Loessgestein") para dar cerca de 4000 personas un lugar para vivir. Hoy en día, estos se hicieron también útil para los turistas.
La cueva del distrito Troglodytos se encuentra al sur del casco antiguo (Barrio de Santiago, véase más adelante), caen a través de la colina cónica, con paredes encaladas y chimeneas desde lejos.
Se establecieron aquí desde hace mucho tiempo, sobre todo los artistas -
Guadix es conocida por su cerámica - y los gitanos, el espectro de los apartamentos van desde lujosos a la cueva humilde ..

I prepared this Cache for a nice member of the couchsurfing who offered as a bed while being on our journey through.
In 2007 we visited Guadix and we liked it so much that we came back 2010

Guadix is a town in a fertile plateau in the northeastern province of Granada (Spain),
915 m in height on the banks of the Rio Grande.
The place is especially famous for its cave District:
During times, about 2000 caves were carved into the soft tufa and "Loessgestein" to give about 4000 people a place to live.
Today, these were also made useable to tourists.
The district Troglodytos cave is located south of Old Town (Barrio de Santiago, see below),
they fall through the conical hill with whitewashed walls and chimneys on from afar.
Settled here a long time, especially artists -
Guadix is known for its pottery - and Gypsies,
the spectrum of the apartments range from luxurious to humble cave ..

The landscape reminds of the Grand Canyon Area (USA).

Den Cache habe ich für eine liebe Couchsurferin gemacht die hier arbeitet und uns ein Gästebett anbot als wir auf der Durchreise waren.
Schon 2007 besuchten wir Guadix und es gefiel uns so gut dass wir 2010 wiederkamen.

Die nur 60 km von der Hauptstadt Granada entfernte Kleinstadt mit ihren gut 20.400 Einwohnern (2009)
ist heute vor allem aufgrund der sogenannten "casas-cuevas" touristisch interessant geworden.
Etwa 2.000 dieser Wohnhöhlen wurden im Laufe der Zeit in das weiche Lößgestein gehauen
und bieten Platz für etwa 4.000 Bewohner.
Neuerdings hat man diese auch für Touristen nutzbar gemacht.

Guadix ist eine Stadt in einer fruchtbaren Hochebene im Nordosten der Provinz Granada (Spanien),
in 915 m Höhe am Ufer des Rio Grande gelegen.

Das Höhlenviertel Troglodytos liegt im Süden der Altstadt (Barrio de Santiago, s.u.),
sie fallen durch die konischen Hügel mit den weißgetünchten Fassaden und Schornsteinen schon von weitem auf.
Lange Zeit siedelten hier vor allem Künstler – Guadix ist bekannt für seine Töpfer – und Zigeuner;
das Spektrum der Wohnungen reicht von Luxus bis ärmliche Höhle..

Die Landschaft sieht aus wie die Gegend am Grand Canyon. (USA).
Bitte macht schöne Bilder von der Stadt und der Umgebung.

Es gibt außer den Höhlenwohnungen noch viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Stadt.
