I picked this spot because of a nearby discovery I made. There is some type of delapitated structure nearby and I will be searching history books to find out what was built there.
On the nearby shore, close to the beaver dam, there is a broken down structure that almost appears to be some sort of landing wharf. Long iron rods with threads and square nuts on the ends protrude from it. I wonder what it was.
Cache is a cammoed large peanut butter jar loaded with goodies. Log book and pencil as well. Keep yours eyes open as this island is well used by hikers.
