Kungsäters kyrka är en kyrkobyggnad i Göteborgs stift som
tillhör Kungsäters församling. Kyrkan är ritad av arkitekten Emil
Viktor Langlet och uppfördes 1881. Det är en av få åttakantiga
centralkyrkor i Sverige. Utformningen gör att alla kyrkobesökare
kommer nära koret, trots att kyrkan har över 350 sittplatser.
Kyrkorummets form påverkar även akustiken och ger en stor men kort
efterklang.
En omfattande renovering av kyrkans interiör ägde rum 1998.
Efter att Kungsäters kyrka tagits i bruk revs den gamla
medeltida kyrkan. Ruinerna av denna finns fortfarande kvar i
byn.
Within this church the cache owner's father was baptised in
1924. The cache is not inside the cemetery area. Kungsäters church
is a church in the diocese of Gothenburg belonging to Kungsäters
Assembly. The church was designed by architect Emil Viktor Langlet
and was built in 1881. It is one of the few octagonal churches in
central Sweden. The design allows that all churchgoers will get
close the choir, even though the church has over 350 seats. The
vaults shape also affects the acoustics and give a large but short
reverberation. An extensive renovation of the interior took place
in 1998. After Kungäters church was taken in service the old
medieval church was demolished. The ruins of this still exists in
the village.
