This cache was muggled twice, and has been replaced at slightly different coordinates. Guess any DNF's (as well as everybody else) get a second chance!
Notch Hill Brook begins in the Guilford Land Trust property called Kampmeyer Preserve and runs southwest into North Branford, where it ultimately flows into the Branford River. If you continue west on the road, you will come to a modern bridge which passes over the Branford River. Like many small streams in Connecticut, the brook can be a fast-flowing torrent after a rainstorm or barely a trickle during a dry summer.
This cache is a BYOP and could be considered a P&G.
Parking coords are noted.
While in the area you might look for other caches, such as the one in Kampmeyer Preserve or try for the 2 caches in North Branford’s North Farms Town Park, whose boundary borders the brook.
If you should hear the cry of a hawk, train your eyes to the treetops. There is a pair of nesting hawks who call this street home, and they are often flying low in this area.
CONGRATS TO NZ1J for being FTF...nice to see a geocaching newbie get there first!
