Geocache Description:

I first met 3humphs and family last summer over at Crystal Lake. He had asked for a hint to a cache there. After doing hot and cold and finding the cache, we sat down to swap stories. Before I knew it, an hour had gone by. The 3humphs family is just fun to be with. The male part of 3humphs is also great at hiding caches. He's the only one I know to make a dog poop cache. He's always glad to help with a hint when I can't find cache. Thanks for being apart of our caching neighborhood!! -mikedeotis ------------------ Whether it's a challenging new cache or as a member of the FTF party, you can always count on Mark. I first became aware of Mark when I started caching and kept finding all these little metal camels in the caches I was finding. It wasn't until later that I had a chance to meet the infamous 3humphs (I think it was him climbing a tree). Congratulations on making a big milestone and I'm sure we'll continue to see you out on the trail. -WestSideDaddy (Chris) ---------------Congratulations on finding 1000 caches Mark! I know there will be many more to come. I had the pleasure of meeting Mark some time back during a lunch-time caching foray with Valsey. His exuberance was, and still is, very infectious. We all went on to have many more lunch-time cache runs after that first meeting. Fun times for sure. One very memorable outing was after we all attended the 2011 Puzzle Event in Monticello and went on to try to find “Waterlogged”, GC1VM17. There were a bunch of us and I know we were all having a good time. Mark was really into it and it was clear he was having fun. I was impressed that he took it upon himself to have t-shirts made to commemorate the big DNF “event”. I consider him a very good cacher and as such I’m positive he will soon get to the 5K milestone. I hope I’m there to see it. Mike (Fish2007)------------------- 3humphs, Congrats on finding your 1000 cache! Since I have met you; it seems that you are becoming a charismatic leader of geocaching. Who else has led a group of cachers who in all regards were probably comfortably content and warm onto a cold frozen lake in hopes of finding a “Waterlogged” cache beneath the ice? What an epic cache search that was. It is obvious that you have a willingness to help others to succeed whether by helping solve a tough puzzle, climbing a tall tree, or making an elusive find. It is always a great time caching with you, exchanging caching stories and laughs. Congrats again and will be looking forward to your 2000th find. -Valsey--------------------- We met 3humphs, one humph at a time. We first met the youngest Humph on an FTF quest in Crystal. She had run up ahead of the second Humph who was being remotely guided to GZ by yet a third Humph. We finally met the third Humph at an event. Since that time we have met up at other events and on the trail. It’s nice to see a family enjoying the same outdoor activity and it’s always fun to talk to them. We’ve also been fortunate enough to capture one of their cute little signature camel tokens. Congratulations on your milestone with many more to come. Have a great summer of caching—we’ll watch for you! – Brooklyn51 (Donald and Denise)--------------------- What can I say about 3humphs.... I've only found a few of his hides so far, but I know him best as the Master Augerer during the largest DNF party I've ever attended. His enthusiasm knows no bounds, and his sense of humor lightens any event.- Spstanley ----------------------3humphs has a knack for beating me on FTF runs all over the north metro- that's kinda how we met! Our first encounter though was in his log for my first hide- GC27GTX -"So he say's 'no I went to a community college!" it was my first hide and his first FTF. Since then it has been a PAF here, a puzzle there, and many a failed FTF run (for me). His attitude is contageous and he's an all around good dude. Congrats on your 1000th- which I'm sure you'll arrive at just ahead of me... LabguyMN (AKA Matt) -----------------------3humphs is the most persistent cacher I've ever met. The first time I met him, we were looking for a cache on an island that had been DNF'ed multiple times and was pretty clearly no longer there. He wanted the smiley so bad that he loaded up his family and canoe to look for it a third time. Sure enough, it still wasn't there. It's no surprise that finding a cache every day for over 300 days is a piece of cake for him. Anyway, congrats on 1,000, 3humphs, and here's to your next 1,000! - sparkyfry----------------------------- Congrats 3humphs on hitting 1,000! The first time I ran into 3humphs was while I was chasing a FTF. I’ve gotten to know 3humphs through phone, e-mail and best of all through geocaching with him a couple of times. He is a very enthusiastic cacher that likes to have fun! He even helped me organize the largest DNF party I have ever attended, shirts and all! Here is to a great caching family and to your next 1,000.- SID---------------- Photobucket
