While The Loop is recognized for its architecture and skyscrapers, many of us who come through The Loop each day pass substantial works of art without batting an eye.
This Letterbox cache is set up to take you on a tour of some of the interesting art The Loop has to offer.
Along the way, you will need to pick up various data that will ultimately be used to get the coordinates for Ground Zero.
Before you start your tour, please print off the sheets available on this page (See link below for Art Tour - Sheet #1 and Sheet #2) as they will act as your tour guide. Also, there are two pieces of information that you will need to gather prior to heading out. You can also get the info from a smart phone during your tour or just use the hint (sort of).
Specifically, you will need the ages of Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso when they died .
Speaking of Picasso, the posted coordinates will take you to The Chicago Picasso, which is one of the more well known pieces of Chicago art. This will be the start of your tour. The total tour should take you about 45 minutes and the walk is approximately 1.5 miles.
While it is not a prerequisite to log a find, it would be fun if everyone who took this tour also posted a picture of themselves in front of the Picasso. Please do not post pictures in front of the other pieces of art you may see as that could act as a spoiler for future tour goers.
Container is large enough to hold some smaller trade items and travelers. There is also a stamp as well as a log, which you should sign and/or stamp. If you are not familiar with the Loop and the streets, you may want to have a map. Keep in mind as you take the tour that it is supposed to highlight art and take a few minutes to enjoy it.

The Chicago Picasso (often just The Picasso) is an untitled monumental sculpture by Pablo Picasso in Chicago, Illinois. The sculpture, dedicated on August 15, 1967, in Daley Plaza in theChicago Loop, is 50 feet (15.2 m) tall and weighs 162 tons.[1] The Cubist sculpture by Picasso was the first such major public artwork in Downtown Chicago, and has become a well known landmark.
