Geocache Description:

This small cache is hidden near the Taylor Creek Access area on Lake Wateree (approach from the Winnsboro side of the lake).

This Duke-SCDNR sponsored lake access point is very popular with boaters and anglers, who fish all along the banks. Keep an eye out for boaters putting in or taking out at the boat ramp that may pull up to prepare their boats or park. Don’t make too much noise as you go along, someone might be fishing nearby.

The cache is a small plastic jar. It contains a few small trade items, a pen and a log book.

The hazards here are the chance of boaters and wild brambles. Traffic can be busy at times, so watch your back as you go along.

Be aware of the possibility for snakes, spiders, ants, wasps, ticks, mosquitoes and other creatures you expect to see in a riverside wilderness area. Have fun and enjoy the View!
